Today I’m sharing a list featuring 3 of history’s most famous entrepreneurs. From Steve Jobs to Bill gates, we’re sharing these stories from entrepreneurs who have made their way to the top.

1. Steve Jobs

You just can’t make a self-respecting list of “successful businessmen” without tossing in Steve Jobs. Jobs fell off college because his family was unable to cope with the financial strain of his schooling. He managed to audit classes unofficially, surviving off free meals from the nearby Hare Krishna temple and returning bottles of coke for change just to get by. Jobs cited the class of calligraphy he stopped in as his inspiration for the innovative typefaces and font design of the Mac.

Jobs went on to have an impressive career, eventually founding the Apple Computer Business with its childhood friend Steve Wozniak, an electronics expert. The Di’s grandfather is often referred to as “The Grandfather of the Digital Revolution,” Jobs forever changed the consumer electronics industry.

Jobs went on to have an unbelievable career, eventually forming the Apple Computer Company with his childhood friend and electronics expert Steve Wozniak. Often referred to as “The Grandfather of the Digital Revolution,” Jobs forever changed the consumer electronics industry. His net worth was over $8.3 billion at the time of his death and his presence will be felt for the coming digital generations.

2. Bill Gates

Bill Gates is one of the most celebrated businessmen of our generation. Gates is the world’s richest man and has an estimated net worth of over $108 billion. For many years, he has had the title of “world’s richest man.”

Co-founder of Microsoft, the world’s largest PC software company, Gates was one of the founding figures of the personal computer movement.

At a very young age, Gates showed an interest in computer programming, spending all his free time designing programs on the teletype terminal machine that his school had donated. Gates continued to build Microsoft and develop the Windows operating system which is still extremely popular.

Like many other famous businessmen, Bill Gates is also recognised for his philanthropic efforts, contributing very large amounts of money to charities and scientific endeavours. In 2000, Gates created the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation committed to poverty reduction, improving health care, increasing educational opportunities and providing access to technology worldwide. Gates himself contributed more than $28 billion to the foundation for which he continues to work.

3. Walt Disney

As a farm boy, Walt Disney started drawing cartoon pictures of his neighbor’s horses for fun. Walt tried to get a job as a newspaper cartoonist when he was older, but was unable to find one, and ended up working in an art studio where he produced newspaper and magazine ads. Eventually he grew up working on advertisements, became interested in animation, and eventually opened up his own entertainment company.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was Disney’s first original character creation, although it was technically owned by Universal Pictures since he was working under contract at the time. After having a pay cut, Walt walked out on Universal Pictures and had to build a replacement, which is how Mickey Mouse came into being.

Disney’s animation business was wildly successful but he wasn’t happy. He was eager to make the biggest and best theme park ever seen, telling a colleague “I want it to look like nothing else in the world.”

Disney is without a doubt one of the greatest entertainment moguls of all time, with an unrelenting spirit and dedication to his dream.
